After many years teaching languages, running language schools and creating language-study materials in Britain, Africa and France, Pam Bourgeois started the company's first language magazine in France in 1996. Since then the company has expanded into other languages, adding more magazines and a complete range of language learning products.
Over the years Pam's multinational team has grown to include specialist writers, language teachers, translators and native speakers. They work together to produce lively and well-structured language products which also develop awareness of cultural differences.
The Essentials range caters to specific learning needs and offers a wide choice to learners of different ages and language levels. The magazines have subscribers in over forty countries and are used in schools, universities and by individuals who enjoy the challenge of learning a language and want to know more about the cultural background.
The company, which started in Lyon, France also has a subsidiary in the United States.
